About the artist
Ian D Hawgood’s music is a build up of everything ran from when he was a kid trying to play piano to now. Using various electronic and organic instruments, field recordings, samplers and anything he can get his hands on, he records on tape and laptop to make his music.
Currently living and working between Tokyo and London, he creates his work both in the city and country.
His influences and inspiration run from the train which runs past his apartment through to the glockenspiels in front of him, from the Romeo Y Julieta he just smoked to the bust-up classical in his lap, from the hip-hop record he just heard to the music he is going to create today.
